Eating Out!
All right. Welcome to Day 13, the daily diary, new low weight. Today it is 5.7 kilos down on where I started. I got off to a really fast start. I'm not surprised it kind of evened out a bit over the last week or so. Hopefully I'll hit six kilos before the two week mark and that'll put me in a really good place to still try and achieve this goal.
Today it was a weights session in the gym, and then just trying to get my steps in. I think I'm going to hit my average, my target of 10,000. I've made up for the steps I was lacking from last Sunday, Monday from the shitty weather in Marbella over the last couple of days. Tomorrow I will be doing a 5K run, so that will definitely help with that and plus some walking I'll do during the day and walking the dogs. I'll definitely hit that 10,000 average, which is my goal for the week.
I've also done three cardio sessions for the week on top of my six gym days. So I'm pretty happy with how this week has gone. There's not much I could have done better, maybe some better nutritional choices, but I've hit my calorie deficit every day. I've hit the training I wanted to get done and I've hit my steps at Target. So pretty good so far.
Tonight I had a meal out, which was super nice. Like I said, last week, I'm trying to be more normal, at least as normal as possible on this journey. And so going out either for a brunch or a meal out with my girlfriend once a week or maybe once every two weeks, is a nice way of being normal and still maintain my weight loss.
And so how I set up for this meal today was that I kept my calories pretty low and full of protein early in the day. So I didn't eat until I was back from the gym at about 1:30 and I had a chorizo, goats cheese and red onion Frittata and that was huge. It was super filling too. It's probably actually the most full I've felt after any meal in the whole journey. Usually I never feel full, but my stomach was full to the brim. If you put 400ml of egg whites and a normal egg in there - you're going to fill yourself up. That's just so much protein. It's so much volume when you make it as a frittata instead of an omelette.
And then after that, all I had for the rest of the day meal wise was I had some ham slices, so I knew I'd say 1500 calories for the meal out tonight, which gave me a chance to have a starter, a main course. It was a Japanese restaurant, so it was mostly sushi, which is kind of one of the reasons we chose that restaurant because it was going to be lower calorie than maybe some other options like an Italian. I definitely finished within my 1500 at the restaurant.
I'm only working on estimations, but it definitely didn't get as far as 1500 and then came home and had a Mars ice cream, which is only 130 calories. So it really felt like I wasn't going to die today, even though earlier I was only having ham slices between my frittata and dinner. But it's nice to be able to live a normal life and still hit your goals, which I am pretty sure that I did. Nothing else to speak about. Going on a little trip tomorrow and yeah, that's it. Day 13 in the books.
