Video Diary - Day 24

7KG... Finally!


Welcome to the video diary for Day 24. We've hit 7kg on the scales finally, but still not 119kg, which is the next mini goal, but it's only 200g off it, so very close. Yeah, it's been a long old slog to get here. I think after day 11 I was 5.5kg down. So in 13 days I'm only 1.5kg. A lot of that, as I've said before, is down to building some muscle, and I'm okay with that. I've definitely lost the body fat. Not ideal though. I really want to hit the 25 kilos in the hundred days, but it's going to be a tough ask.

Today was a pretty quiet day. It was sitting down, working, just kind of recharging the batteries a little bit. I delayed going to the gym. As you can see, I'm just really back in from the gym. I did manage, despite the fact that I was kind of sitting down all day, to delay almost all my calories. I had my Irish breakfast wrap for breakfast, and then I just had a protein yoghurt and some chicken pieces for the rest of the day until just getting in from the gym Just now. I had a tortilla sized pizza, which was unbelievable. It was a four cheese with Turkey pepperoni, for 650 calories. You just can't beat it.

On days like this - when you're lethargic, you haven't got as much exercise done, I've only done 4,000 steps, which is very sedentary - I just like to make sure I hit my deficit and not worry about the nutritional density of my food that much. I think on Instagram, what you see a lot of the time is the more delicious food I eat, because that's obviously better to show in a video, but eating protein porridge five days a week makes sure that I hit my fibre intake.

I do include veg here and there in my meals, but I make sure all of them are delicious. I've about three different breakfasts, maybe four or five different lunches, whether it's a salmon bagel or some type of tortilla wrap or the frittata I've shown and then I have a wide variety of different dinners.

Dinners are where I like to kind of try different stuff or really kind of indulge in some calories in the evening because I have saved them for then and makes me feel like I'm not in a diet. So yeah, I'm really happy I've hit the seven kilo mark. I hope I can start to gather pace from here. Definitely won't if I'm having 4,000 step days. But it's not the end of the world. I can make up some of those steps. Hopefully I will this week.

I think for the most part, as long as I'm continuing to exercise, getting my six exercise sessions and six weight sessions in this week, and I come close to around 10,000 step average, that's progress for me every week. Just trying to get a little bit better. But the most important thing is hitting my calorie deficit, and that's actually the thing I'm finding easiest. I've consistently, for 24 days now, hit my deficit. So very happy with that. And even if I don't hit 25kg in 100 days, I will hit it eventually. That's the most important thing. I've stuck to my deficit. Even if I stopped exercising completely and sat on the couch, put ate like this, I would eventually hit the 25 kilos. I won't do that, but I'm confident now that I will hit the 25 kilo mark, just whether or not I do it in a hundred days is the question.

Still have about 600 calories to eat tonight. Might indulge in a little bit of ice cream and not just the ice cream sandwiches. You see me eat like a tub of protein, ice cream, maybe a microwave brownie, something like that. Something a little bit more interesting when you have this many calories and it's like 10 or 11pm at night. I just want to kind of enjoy those calories. I don't usually do that. You see me a lot of eating snacks like Monster Munch or anything, but that only makes up about 20% of my calories. Some days less and some days a little more, of course.

So that's it. I'm really happy. I've done 7 kilos! Day 24 in the books.
