Skydive Contract!
Welcome to the video diary for Day 34. I think the most interesting in today is obviously the contract for the skydive that Josh proposed. I love that he did it. I think I have would say much less than 50% chance of hitting 25 kilos in the 100 days. So it looks like I'll be jumping out of an aeroplane. I looked at the options around here. The closest one is 2.5 hours away and it's the highest one in Europe, so it looks like that's what I'm going to be doing in just over two months, which is terrifying!
Today got up early to meet Josh and to get my workout in. Got a really quick pull session and then did 15 minutes on the StairMaster, which is a bit short cardio session, but we were in a rush because we were going to Tarifa which is absolutely spectacular. It really is this stunning place with beautiful sand dunes. It was crazy windy. I got a wind burn from the sand flying off the dunes. But it's a really cool place right between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It's where they meet and just kite surfers everywhere.
I had a protein bar leaving the gym. And then when I got down to Tarifa, we went for lunch. The waiter told me that the meal I ordered was an octopus salad, and when it came out it was just covered in oil and fat. It's actually a dish from that region apparently. And then we shared some duck gyozas as well. And even they had extra fat on it and mayonnaise. It was just really heavily oiled and fried. So it was nice, but it wasn't what I thought I'd ordered. I allow myself a meal a week out and this was it. And it was just much higher calorie than I thought I would've kept it based on what I ordered. I thought I would've kept it below 1000 calories. It's probably closer to 1,200. That's what I charged myself. They added in a tonne of oil and I tried to not eat as much of the oil as possible.
Then we went and did a photo shoot. I had to be the cameraman for the day, which is not my favourite thing to do. But I was patient and then drove home. And this evening I have had a wrap with chicken thighs that I needed to use up. Turkey pepperoni, cheddar cheese, Nando's Perinnaise, some lettuce and crispy onions. And that's pretty much all I'm going to have. I might have a small ice cream later. I definitely have the calories for that. And so that's it.
Very nervous about this skydive, almost certainly going to have to do it. Yeah, but I suppose it makes the challenge a little bit more interesting.
